Please make sure to read over all the frequently asked questions before contacting the Klahanie Office.
- Q. Where can I check availability for the dates I want?
Our new booking system allows campers to check what sites are available for the dates they want to stay. This is updated and actualized when new reservations are made, so there's always certainty that you'll see everything that's open for booking. If the site you would like does not show up when making a reservation, this means it has been previously reserved.
- Q. How do I pick a specific site?
Our new booking system allows campers to choose the sites they would like for their stay. If the site you would like does not show up when making a reservation, this means it has been previously reserved.
- Q. Can I invite friends and family to visit us for the day?
Yes! We love to have the family or friends over for some fun! However, due to insurance and safety purposes, it’s required that everybody (and every vehicle) in the park is registered at the office. Day passes are available for purchase and they can stay from 7:00am - 9:00pm. Unregistered trespassers will have to pay a fee of $35.00 (+tax) and may also be subject to eviction from the park.
- Q. What facilities do you have in the campground?
We have regular-flush washrooms (no outhouses), coin operated showers (takes $0.25, $1.00, $2.00), coin operated laundry machines (takes $0.25, $1.00), free Wifi by the office (no, it doesn't get all the way to every site), a sani-dump station for registered RV campers, fire-pits and picnic tables in each site. A coin dispenser is located in the Laundry room.
- Q. Is there anything for purchase at the office?
At the office, you can find for purchase bundles of firewood and our new souvenir Klahanie T-shirts.
For ice, personal hygiene articles, tools, extensions, adaptors, or other supplies, campers can visit the Town of Squamish and the lovely shops nearby.
- Q. Do we need a reservation?
We do suggest that campers book well in advance for the premium sites of any kind, since they usually fly off the reservation list. During weekdays (Monday - Thursday), you might get lucky and get a chance at the premium sites without a reservation (though not guaranteed). During weekends and long weekends (holidays), the park (and all other camping parks in this area) are fully booked months before the date. If you’re planning on visiting during a weekend or long weekend, make sure to reserve well in advance!
- Q. What time is check-in, Check out and how do I register if I’m arriving late?
Check-in is any time after 1:00pm, and Check out is any time before 11:00am. If you arrive late or when the office is closed, it’s required that you follow the Self Registration Process posted at the office window before going to your site and setting up camp.
- Q. Can I use the showers & Dump station if I'm not camping at Klahanie?
All the facilities at the Klahanie Campground are exclusively for registered campers. If you're not camping at the Klahanie, you must pay a fee of $35.00 (+tax) to use the showers, and a fee of $40.00 (+tax) to use the dump station.
